Tips for Keeping Your Home Smelling Fresh and Wonderful
Odor can develop in many different places like your kitchen, closets and bathrooms. It also can be very displeasing for any guests coming over to visit. Here are a few easy natural tips to keep your home smelling fresh.
- To eliminate kitchen odors, boil a mixture of 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. You can also remove the smell of burnt food by boiling lemon slices and rosemary, then letting it simmer for 15 minutes. Also, to take away refrigerator odors you may use Vanilla oil. Place a soaked cotton ball (with vanilla oil) in a saucer and put it into the refrigerator. Furthermore, to remove terrible smells from your trash can, place some orange peels or fresh mint leaves in the bottom, and change trash bag weekly.
- Closets can be kept moisture and odor free with either sidewalk chalk or baking soda. Keep chalk or baking soda in a breathable container on the floor or shelf. Also, you can remove the smell from shoes with tea leaves. Put the tea leaves into a small breathable baggy and place inside shoes.
- An easy way to change the nasty odor in a bathroom is to always keep a book of matches handy. The sulfur from the match will dispel all odors. Also create your own bathroom spray with 4 ounces of water and 15 drops of tangerine or grapefruit oil. And of course, keep toilet and shower clean.
